Do you want God’s answer?

How many times when we struggle to figure something out, do we ignore God who is standing there with the answer, just waiting for us to ask?

And for those of us who know God has all the answers, and that He is willing to give those answers to us, how many of us still don’t ask Him because really we aren’t sure we want His answer? Perhaps we’d rather put off knowing the answer, thereby postponing having to take action according to that answer, by pretending that not being able to figure it out is an excuse.

Or have you ever asked God a question and then turned off your ears from hearing His answer by trying to figure it out yourself instead?

Do you really want God’s answer?

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. James 1:5-8 NLT

It’s so neat you posted this. I had been reading about Balaam and how he kept asking God for an answer. Finally God gave him the answer he wanted…but it wasn’t the answer he wanted… Yeah. I have done that too. Praise God for his mercy.
