Are you looking to serve, or to be served?

Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. How about you?

Do you live life mostly concerned about making sure all your needs and desires are met, or do you live life to serve others?

How about your relationship with God? Are your prayers mostly asking God to fulfill your needs and wants and desires, or are your prayers more about serving others? Do you focus on what God can do for you, or on what you can do for Him, for His Kingdom, and for the people He created and loves?

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again. 2 Corinthians 5:14-15 NIV

Thank you! I read this with my son, and it was a blessing to both of us.
