He satisfies

God satisfies all of our needs and desires if we but call upon Him.

Too many times, we suffer needlessly because we try to satisfy those hungers and desires our own way. We try to fill a void we feel with worldly things, things that will never satisfy the deep needs that we have. God, and only God, can satisfy those needs. God, and only God, can fill that void that we feel. God, and only God, can fill that empty place inside ourselves – the loneliness, the pain, the hurt, the disappointment, the despair.

God is waiting for us to call upon Him. He is waiting for us to turn towards Him at last so that He may fill that void, so that He may satisfy us fully. He is waiting for us with open arms. When we call upon Him, when we ask Him to comfort us, to satisfy a hunger, to take away the sting of pain, to give us hope that is true and not misleading, He is there waiting for us. We can call upon Him and then nestle into His broad powerful chest where He will keep us safe and give us rest while we wait for a short while until we can perceive that He has filled that empty place and completely satisfied us.

God says,

“I am the LORD your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”
(Psalm 81:10 NKJV)

God says of those who love Him,

“Because he has set his love upon Me,
therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high,
because he has known My name.
He shall call upon Me,
and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
With long life I will satisfy him,
And show him My salvation.”
(Psalm 91:14-16 NKJV)
