Trusting that God will make all things work together for good

God promises that all things work together for good to them that love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)

What a comfort that promise is!

Sometimes there are so many things in life going on all at once that it is overwhelming, and it is impossible to figure it all out. During those times, this promise from God is greatly comforting. We don’t have to  be terrified that we’ll mess up. We can trust that God is going to use it all for good no matter what. We can go forward with God without being hindered by any paralyzing fears. We can trust God with our loved ones when we have to be away from them; we know that God loves our loved ones even more than we do. We know that God is greater than our problems. We know that greater is He who is within us, than He who is in the world.

Jesus is Lord of all (Acts 10:36)–there are no exceptions. We may rest in this.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.  (Proverbs 3:5, 6)

We know that God is directing our paths. We know that all things work together for good to them that love God. And we know that Jesus is Lord of all. There is nothing to fear. If God be for us, who can be against us?
